| NB Mattress is proud of its long history and tradition of providing outstanding value and customer service to our loyal customers and neighbors. NB Mattress has been in continuous operation since 1928. Mr. DeLong began manufacturing mattresses in Comal Town on the corner of Washington and Mather in the 1920's before constructing the building at 1439 S. Business 35 (Old Hwy. 81) in 1928. Milton and Hulda Schuetz bought the building and business in 1961 and continued manufacturing mattresses until 1980 when Kenneth and Dorothy Brietzke took over. Ron Brietzke and Arlayne Mandell bought New Braunfels Mattress from the Brietzke's in 1994 and built a new store at 345 S. Business 35 which is where we operate out of today. Wynn Wallace took over the business July 1st, 2009 as the 5th owner of the business since its founding in 1928. |  |
NB Mattress believes everyone is entitled to a good night's sleep and strives to give back to the community by supporting local organizations such as the Crisis Center of Comal County, Child Protective Services, Lion's Clubs, Comal County Fair Association, New Braunfels Greater Chamber of Commerce, St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, Communities In Schools and Connections Individual and Family Services.
